Tragedy of Gayan

In the middle of the night on 21st June 2022, eastern Afghanistan was struck by an earthquake of 5.9 magnitude, becoming the country's deadliest in the last two decades. Hundreds of homes collapsed, killing more than 1,150 innocent villagers and another 1,200 injured. Gayan, a district in Paktika, was among the most devastated areas, with more than 300 people martyred and approximately 350 to 400 wounded.

Women's Bazaar Programs

Working with a deaf and mute School, a blind school, women’s shelter, and female beggars, we have established a women’s only bazaar, and encouraged our beneficiaries to sell items that they make themselves. Prior to this, these women were often selling only on the streets, where it was not safe and where they couldn’t make sufficient money.

AYTV is a non-profit media initiative by Gulzad Foundation that is digitally aired in Kabul, Afghanistan, determined to create a major paradigm shift in the youth of Afghanistan.
